Document Ancestor Research
The purpose of this page is to provide a place to store research notes about an ancestor. These can be any thing you wish to record.
Formatting may be off due to XOJO constraints. It is suggested for printing, to copy text to a Word document and adjust formatting there.
The right click menu may assist in providing helpful titles and other items.
Reset Font - Can assist when different fonts are present due to having pasted information from other sources. Must have at least one word highlighted, but impacts whole document.
Append Section - Inserts pre-formatted titles that may assist with documenting your research into verifying this ancestor genetically.
Headings include: Birth, Marriage, Death, Timeline (also inserts information gathered from profile's ancestor list), Biography, Family Story, Eulogy, Obituary, References, Research NotesAppend Confidence - Inserts preformatted notes that may assist with documenting your level of confidence in your research.
Confidence levels include: Confident, Circumstantial, SpeculativeCopy Text - Copies ALL the text in the document, not just the highlighted portion. Useful if wanting to copy everything to paste into a seperate document.
Signature - Inserts the current date and time
Note: All items are added at the bottom of the current document, not necessarily where the cursor is placed.
Formatting buttons are located at the bottom of the window to assist.
Delete will reset the view to the default empty view.
Remember to use the Save button in the lower right corner before closing the document.
When there are Notes in this section, the Ahnentafel number in the Ancestor list will be highlighted in pink and underlined.
